In May 2013, the Phaeton Handmade Luxury Trip designed by the German National Tourist Board and Volkswagen Import kicked off. Ten media were invited to join the trip, explore the essence of handmade luxury and experience the charisma of the Volkswagen Phaeton.This was to give us the chance of a first-person encounter with the German culture of handmade luxury goods. The trip started from Dresden by the Elbe, known as “the balcony of Europe” and birthplace of Volkswagen’s flagship luxury model, with as goal the exploration of Germany’s time-honored handmade culture and enduring artistic creativity
